The Wetlands Event Center located at 86 Valhi Blvd., Houma is an outdoor learning center now open for student field trips.

It is also the home of the Rougarou Fest and the Ladybug Ball!

Field Trips

Field trips are available for K-6 students and include:

  • Two NGSS aligned interactive lessons to promote student engagement and learning
  • Up to 70 students
  • Scheduled in 2-hour blocks
  • $3 per person

Rental Space Available

The Wetlands Event Center is available to rent for outdoor activities. A large pavilion offers a shaded space plus a picturesque view of a man-made wetland pond. The site offers parking and restrooms, as well access to 9 pedestals that include water, electricity, and sewage drains making it convenient for seafood boil fundraisers and cook offs!
