Jonathan Foret – Executive Director

Jonathan is responsible for the day to day operations of the organization and implementing the programs of the Wetlands Discovery Center. He has over 10 years of nonprofit administrative, management and fundraising experience on international, national, state, regional and local levels. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a focus in Nonprofit Leadership and is a native of Chauvin, Louisiana.

Angelle Percle – Assistant Director

Angelle joined the South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center’s team in 2013. She is a Mass Communications graduate from Nicholls State University and a native of Houma, Louisiana. Angelle has 19 years of non-profit marketing and communications experience including skills in program management, social media, graphic design, event management and marketing, media buying, website management, grant management and arts administration. 

Samantha Hicks – Program Director

Samantha is originally from a small town in northwest Mississippi. She attended Nicholls State University and graduated with a Master’s degree in Marine and Environmental Biology. Samantha is working to create and implement programs to educate Louisiana’s youth about the changing landscape of our coastal wetlands.

Sarah Fontana – Program Coordinator

Sarah is a native and resident of Lafourche Parish. She attended Nicholls State University and earned a Master of Science in Marine Biology specializing in fish biology in 2020. Sarah is expanding the Wetlands Discovery Center’s ability to implement programs educating Louisiana’s youth about the changing landscape of our coastal wetlands.
