iRestore

Our media literacy program is called “iRestore.” Students meet a professional film-maker and receive hands-on instruction in professional film-making. This program gives students an opportunity to exercise communicating, problem-solving, and decision-making skills necessary for the 21st century learning environment.

Students not only become creators of original media, but also become educated consumers of media through this process. Students produce two-minute, high-quality videos that investigate the importance of youth engagement relating to issues of coastal restoration in order to build resilient communities for the future. When the product is finished, we publish the video to our YouTube channel.
